There Is No Easy Way to Stop Smoking

So if youre looking to quit smoking, you have to realize that its not going to be easy. There is no easy way to stop smoking. You just have to decide not to be a smoker and you have to ride out the withdrawal symptoms. They will come and they are going to be tough. In fact, quitting smoking will probably be the hardest thing youll ever do. But you can do it and when you do you will be a much stronger person. So throw that pack away and begin thinking of yourself as a non smoker. There may be no easy way to stop smoking but the best time to start is right now.
Positive Thinking
There is no easy way to stop smoking but you can make it through. You just have to think positive thoughts. You have to think of yourself as a non smoker. If you begin thinking of yourself as a non smoker, you will begin to believe it. Repeat it over and over in your head. If you have activities that remind you of smoking, resist those activities at least until the main symptoms begin to fade. There is no easy way to stop smoking but it will get easier over time. You just have to ride out the hard times for the first month or so and then you will see that being a non smoker is well worth it when you realize how much money youre saving and how much better you feel.
Get A Hobby
There is no easy way to stop smoking but you can get a hobby to occupy your time. They say that quitting smoking is just like losing a friend or loved one. There is a mourning period that one goes through. You will have a sense of loss, you will have nightmares and you will go through times of depression and anger. You wont be pleasant to be around and most of the time people who quit smoking retreat into a cave. Use this time wisely. Be productive. Put together model airplanes or find something else you like to do. Taking your mind off of the fact that youre not smoking and you will get through these tough times before you know it.
Find A Support Buddy
There may be no easy way to stop smoking but that doesnt mean you have to go it alone. Find a friend, a support buddy, who will talk you through your cravings, who will keep you up when youre feeling down, and who will make you see that your anger and your depression are all symptoms and they will all fade. You can quit smoking and when you finally do youll likely wonder why you ever picked up that disgusting habit to begin with.
