This is the reason why the person performing the session will tell you to come back in a few months for reinforcement of the hypnosis. Many people do not follow through with this advice and start smoking again.

You will recite the affirmation morning, when you want a cigarette and at night.
Other Methods
There are other ways to quit smoking that may require taking a prescription drug, using stop smoking aids and have some will power. Once you are serious about your smoking habit and want to quit, you have to stay with it and not veer away from the big picture. Smoking is something most people do without thinking. They do not count their cigarettes or even know how many they actually smoke or just hold onto. It might just be that you are smoking out of habit of having something in your hand. If this is the case, some people carry toothpicks, straws and the nicotine inhaler stick around to eliminate the need for a cigarette.
